History in the making. That's what the fans at Wolves Stadium got to see today, when Atlantic City outplayed the Redhawks 15-2. Darryl Blevins of the Dice came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Rockville.
In the postgame press conference the Rockville skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
D. Blevins struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season Blevins is hitting .300 with 2 home runs and getting on base at a .395 rate. His totals include 40 RBIs, 37 walks and 38 runs scored. He has played in 94 games.

 | Sunday, August 5th, 1984: García Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Cisco García of the Erie Roadrunners had one of those moments when he went 5 for 7 at the plate today in the 23-5 win over the Rockville Redhawks at Legions Ballpark.
The 19-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day...enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe."
C. García singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year García has collected a .377 batting average to date with 58 hits in 154 at-bats, 18 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 30 times. He has played in 42 games.

Last week Rex Hudson was the toast of Rockville and the talk of the Domestic League A -- this week he's the DLA Player of the Week. The standout second baseman sewed up the award with his .516 average (16-31), no home runs, 5 RBIs, and 4 runs.
In the 1984 campaign Hudson has hit at a .256 clip with 42 RBIs, 1 home run and 40 runs scored.
