| Breaking News |  | Sunday, April 14th, 1985: Hit Streak Over, T-Bones Stop Hanson Frederick right fielder Pete Hanson experienced something against the Kansas City T-Bones he hadn't experienced in his last 26 games: a hitless game. The T-Bones pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Stars to a 3-2 victory at Nightmares Ballpark.
"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 26-game hitting streak. Now you sportswriters will have to find someone else to bother for stories," Hanson kiddingly told them after the game.
This season Hanson has no home runs and a .364 batting average. |  | Friday, April 12th, 1985: Hanson Keeps Hit Streak Alive Long hitting streaks don't happen very often and when they happen it perks up everybody's interest. No one knows how long it will go -- it could end tomorrow - but baseball fans and Pete Hanson are enjoying the moment right now. The 22-year-old Frederick right fielder extended his string to 25 consecutive games in Nightmares Ballpark today. Hanson got 2 hits, but the Athens Brawlers got the victory. They toppled the Stars 8-0. P. Hanson singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.

He rocked the opposition with a .483 batting average, 14 hits in 29 at-bats, no home runs, and 6 RBIs while scoring 10 times.
