Luis Antonio Ramírez of the Windy City Playboys could be headed for the disabled list after suffering a strained bicep tendon in a game against the Philadelphia Freedom. He is expected to miss at least 2 weeks. The Windy City starting pitcher was injured throwing a pitch. Ramírez said, "Right now I am pretty sore and I don't feel very good at all."
To date this season Ramírez is 12-9 with 32 starts and an ERA of 4.69 with 127 strikeouts in 172.2 innings.

 | Sunday, September 9th, 1984: Dardon Goes Yard 3 Times!
Fans from Windy City are still buzzing after Windy City whipped the Bulldogs 12-4 today at The Mansion. Montez Dardon smashed three home runs in the game.
This is a feat that few players ever achieve and few fans ever see.
In a tremendous performance the center fielder bashed out 3 hits in 3 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times.
Speaking with the SION reporters at the postgame press conference, he was asked what it felt like to hit three home runs in one game. Dardon answered, "To get one homer is special...two is great...three is just unbelievable!"
M. Dardon hit a solo-shot off B. Faircloth in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off H. Ortiz in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off H. Su-Tu in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th.
Dardon on the season is batting .288 with 20 home runs and getting on base at a .352 rate. His totals include 85 RBIs, 43 walks and 72 runs scored. He has played in 130 games.

The Import League announced the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award. It went to Dunmore Theodore of Windy City for his outstanding work on the mound.
