This promising rookie catcher for New York garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.
The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .542 (13-24) with no home runs and 5 RBIs last week.

Orlin Montero went 5 for 6 against the New York Comets at Bulls Ballpark and the Bulls picked up a 9-6 victory.
He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted center fielder was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room.
"He was patient up there today," the Tucson skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Montero has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes."
