Monday, April 15th, 1985: Star of the Week Awarded in DLAAA
Teagan Cannell burst onto the Domestic League AAA stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie catcher for New York garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.

The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .542 (13-24) with no home runs and 5 RBIs last week.

Saturday, April 13th, 1985: 5-Hit Barrage by Kim
"Believe it or not," said Chicago third baseman Myung-chor Kim, "they threw me some good pitches today."

That would be hard to believe for anyone who saw him dispose of the Comets with a great 5-hit performance.

"He made it look easy," said the New York manager, who saw his team fall to the Chicago Lions, 10-3. "Hats off to him!"

M. Kim singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a three-run double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

Currently Kim is batting .407 with 11 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 7 runs and scored 7 times.
Wednesday, August 22nd, 1984: Montero Rips New York for 5 Hits
During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! Orlin Montero went 5 for 6 against the New York Comets at Bulls Ballpark and the Bulls picked up a 9-6 victory.

He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted center fielder was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room.

"He was patient up there today," the Tucson skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Montero has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes."

O. Montero singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Presently Montero is batting .319 and has collected 3 home runs, 28 RBIs, 29 walks, a .375 OBP and scored 79 runs.
