Joe Arredondo of the Virginia Colonials was in command from start to finish in his 10-0 shutout win over the Morgantown Mohawks. He struck out 4, walked 1 and allowed 2 hits.
"I felt strong the entire game," Arredondo said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."
Arredondo has started 33 times this year, pitched 182.1 innings, fanned 128 batters and walked 84. His current record is 8 wins and 15 losses with a 4.34 ERA.

Washington pitcher Joe Chavarraga put on a show today and walked away with a 5-0 shutout victory over the Virginia Colonials, throttling them on 2 hits. He just cruised through their lineup, fanning 10 and walking 1 in a strong outing.
"He was very efficient and he hit his spots," his manager said. "He stayed down in the zone and stayed away from the middle of the plate."
This year Chavarraga has compiled a 19-3 mark with a 1.91 ERA.
