Friday, April 19th, 1985: O'Rogan Spins No-Hitter
Charlie O'Rogan relied on excellent pitch selection and pinpoint control to hold Baltimore hitless in his 8-0 win.

"I stayed ahead of batters," he said after the game, "and was able to get a lot of quick outs. My defense deserves a lot of credit too. They had to be on their toes and they saved me several times."

The 27-year-old starter rung up 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in whipping the Bulldogs.

"When a guy is throwing strikes the way he was and is locating well, it is going to be a long day for any club," the Baltimore skipper said.

Sunday, March 3rd, 1985: Baltimore Wins RF Latham Sweepstakes
As speculation mounted into the morning, rumors over a final agreement between Nick Latham and Baltimore became a reality, with the star opting for a $12,380,000 deal over 1 year.

In his career Latham has played in 1029 games with a .288 batting average. Among his 1118 hits are 257 doubles, 58 triples and 168 home runs. He also has scored 682 runs and driven in 602 runs.
Saturday, March 2nd, 1985: Colonials Swap Headington to Bulldogs for Dallyn
Several Colonials and Bulldogs players soon will have to start shopping for a new home. It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Virginia will get 35-year old starting pitcher Frank Dallyn and Baltimore will pick up 25-year old left fielder Larry Headington in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the Colonials."

Lifetime Headington has hit for a .249 average and totaled 143 hits, 16 home runs and 83 RBIs.

In his career Dallyn has compiled an ERA of 3.11 with 108 victories and 66 defeats and has held opponents to a .240 batting average. He also has struck out 1242 batters in 1515.2 innings and given up 1369 hits.
