In a knockout performance, Price Morell beat the Sand Tigers 6-0 with an impressive 4-hit shutout.
The Dollar Bills hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and 3 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
Morell told reporters after the game, "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working... it don't get any better than this."
The Sand Tigers manager said, "It was a rough one for my guys. We weren't at our best... and their guy was."

 | Thursday, August 16th, 1984: Zero Hour: Schenkevelt Blanks Dollar Bills
Hakon Schenkevelt of the Charleston Rebels put the clamps on the opposition and held the Hundred Dollar Bills scoreless in a 6-hit whitewash.
"He's got some good stuff, but we should have done better than that," said the Hundred skipper after the 9-0 loss.
Schenkevelt was on target most of the game and finished with 6 strikeouts and no walks.
This year Schenkevelt has a 14-5 record with a 2.84 ERA in 22 starts.

 | Monday, August 13th, 1984: Kansas City Humbles Hundred in Shutout
Tim Broadwater pitched a strong game in blanking the Hundred Dollar Bills 3-0, allowed no runs on 4 hits, totaled 1 strikeout and gave up 2 walks.
The Kansas City manager said he could tell right away it was going to be a good game for Broadwater. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," he said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
This year Broadwater has made 4 starts, thrown 34.2 innings, fanned 2 batters and walked 7. His won-lost record is 3-2 with a 4.15 ERA.
