The Martinsburg Badgers met their match today in Silver City hurler Moisés Oses. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout.
"He just worked us over," the Martinsburg skipper said. "He probably didn't even take a shower after the game. I don't think he even worked up a sweat. They could probably pitch him again tomorrow."
In the 3-0 victory Oses whiffed 5 and gave up 1 walk.

The Import League AAA presented the Outstanding Pitcher Award for 1984. It went to bullpen ace Romano Gonzalez of Martinsburg for his outstanding work on the mound.

12-2 record, 47 G, 17 S, 2 BS, 106 IP, 89 HA, 99 K, 60 BB, 2.38 ERA, .231 OBA.
He will get his best pitcher trophy this weekend at the annual SBWA awards meeting.

The Player of the Week has been announced by the Import League AAA. The award went to Jorge Segobiano, right fielder of the Martinsburg Badgers. He dominated league pitchers with a .478 average to win the honor. Segobiano went 11-23 for the week, totaled 1 home run with 10 RBIs and scored 3 times.
