Done deal! The Indianapolis Clowns have agreed to send 24-year old right fielder Ray Provencia, a 1st round draft pick and a 2nd round draft pick to the Sin City Gamblers for nothing. The trade, rumored for days, was completed in the wee hours this morning.

The Gamblers must be relieved this evening as word that Dante Geake has decided to stay put became reality. The 36-year-old will call Sin City home for at least another 2 years.
This year Geake has worked 182 innings with 133 strikeouts en route to a 8-8 record and 3.56 ERA.

 | Wednesday, October 3rd, 1984: Sato Takes Home DL Batting Title
Takanibu Sato, the talented Sin City center fielder, has added to his list of accomplishments the Domestic League batting title. The 28-year-old Sato finished the season with a .345 average to earn the accolade.
In his standout year he also numbered 203 hits, 27 doubles, 8 triples and 8 home runs. Sato played in 143 games, drove in 60 runs and scored 115 times.
