Brewers League Baseball News Article | | | Friday, September 14th, 1984: Guides Starting Pitcher Hurt Gil O'Moore at first refused to leave today's Sin City-Maine game after he suffered a strained bicep tendon while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Maine starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep O'Moore out of action for 2 weeks.
This year O'Moore has compiled a 14-2 record with a 1.55 ERA in 26 starts. | |
