Thursday, September 13th, 1984: Los Lunas's MacLagan in Shutout Victory
Ron MacLagan was dynamite today and just blew Pittsburgh away in the 8-0 victory. The Los Lunas Javelinas starter had everything working as he hurled a 6-hit shutout over the Millers, recording 6 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Pittsburgh skipper during his postgame press conference.

In 30 starts this season, MacLagan has picked up 14 wins while suffering 8 losses. He has pitched 207.2 innings, allowed 182 hits, struck out 141 and posted a 2.95 ERA.
