Brewers League Baseball News Article | |  | Sunday, September 9th, 1984: Fortin Sidelined, Listed DTD by Washington The Washington Bats received some welcome news this morning. They will not need to place catcher Jerry Fortin on the disabled list. During yesterday's game against the Davenport Brawlers, he was injured running the bases. The injury, however, is not serious. The Washington star performer is listed as day-to-day with a strained hamstring muscle.
Thus far this year Fortin has hit .278 with 30 home runs and 68 RBIs. He has played in 125 games and scored 80 times. | |
