 | Friday, August 31st, 1984: Haydon Has Nagging Injury, Listed DTD
Pittsburgh star shortstop Howard Haydon was injured yesterday against Hartford while colliding with a player at a base. He sustained a back spasms and is listed on the injury report as day-to-day. The team trainer said Haydon will likely not miss too much action, perhaps 2 weeks.
Thus far in 1984 Haydon has hit .284 with 18 home runs and 88 RBIs. He has played in 113 games and scored 60 times. | |
