 | Saturday, August 25th, 1984: 5-Hits Blitz by Ch'oe
Cheong-u Ch'oe of the Millers was unstoppable in today's 14-2 victory over the Los Lunas Javelinas at Kennywood Park. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Pittsburgh shortstop after the game. "All I had to do was swing, and I connected. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will."
C. Ch'oe singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This year Ch'oe is hitting .271 and has produced 44 RBIs and 7 home runs, scored 50 times and gotten on base at a .337 rate. | |
