 | Friday, August 24th, 1984: Los Lunas Left Fielder Will Miss 6 Weeks
Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Ken Cahill of the Javelinas knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Pittsburgh Millers while being hit by a pitch. Diagnosed as a fractured jaw, the Los Lunas left fielder is expected to miss 6 weeks. Cahill was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "There is nothing I can do now. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
So far in 1984 Cahill is batting .326 with 13 home runs, 75 RBIs and 72 runs scored. He has 149 hits in 457 at-bats, 92 walks and a .433 OBP. | |
