Brewers League Baseball News Article | | | Wednesday, August 22nd, 1984: Virginia Starting Pitcher Injured The Virginia Colonials will have to "make do" without Nate Magness for 1-2 weeks. He suffered a dead arm syndrome while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Carolina Tobs. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the starting pitcher. "That's a real blow," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We know how to deal with adversity." Magness will miss 1-2 weeks.
In 24 starts this season Magness has recorded a 4-10 record and a 5.73 ERA. | |
