Brewers League Baseball News Article | | | Tuesday, August 21st, 1984: Syracuse's Colin Out 1-2 Weeks The Syracuse Slammers were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Stanton Colin was likely to be out for 1-2 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Mississippi Storm. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a damaged meniscus (knee). Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Syracuse manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries, they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Stanton is back in action."
Colin has taken the hill 33 times this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 2-4 record with a 4.60 ERA. The Syracuse reliever has limited opposing batters to a .263 batting average. | |
