Wednesday, August 8th, 1984: Philadelphia Stopper: Aurillo Shuts Out Morgantown
"That was one of my best outings," said Joe Aurillo. "I was worried a lot in the bullpen. My ball wasn't quite right. Luckily, it can be two different worlds -- the bullpen and the game. Once I stepped on the field, it all fell into place."

It was an impressive start for the Freedom hurler. He blanked the Mohawks 8-0 on a strong 3-hitter while ringing up 11 strikeouts and doling out 2 walks.

Aurillo has posted a 14-5 record in 1984 with a 2.06 ERA. Teams are hitting .204 against him, and he has rung up 224 strikeouts in 170 innings.
