 | Wednesday, August 1st, 1984: Kirby Claims IL Batter of the Month Award
It was a very good month for Windy City Playboys catcher Jared Kirby, July's Import League Batter of the Month.
Kirby had a marvelous month, hitting .380 with a .437 on-base percentage. He totalled 35 hits in 92 at-bats, 7 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 22 runs in an award-winning month.
Kirby currently has a .302 batting average with 119 hits, 17 homers, 63 RBIs and 70 runs scored. He has walked 45 times and compiled a .372 OBP. | |
