 | Monday, July 30th, 1984: Virginia and Davenport Agree to Swap
The Virginia Colonials have parted ways with 38-year old third baseman Jorge Taracena, sending him to the Davenport Brawlers for a 1st round draft pick. The Colonials general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning.
Looking at his season stats, Taracena has compiled a .262 batting average and a .410 on-base percentage while hitting 9 home runs and driving in 47 runs. He has played in 103 games and scored 61 runs. | |
