 | Monday, July 30th, 1984: Slammers-Brawlers Trade: Kang for Jerome
A trade between the Syracuse Slammers and the Davenport Brawlers was made official this morning. The Syracuse Slammers have sent 34-year old starting pitcher Yeong-suk Kang, a 5th round draft pick and $1,000,000 in cash to the Davenport Brawlers in exchange for 21-year old minor league catcher Mark Jerome, 19-year old minor league third baseman Héctor Carbajal, 21-year old minor league starting pitcher Shuncho Sanu and a 2nd round draft pick.
Year to date Kang shows a 8-8 record, 22 starts, 142.2 innings, 104 strikeouts and a 3.22 ERA.
