Monday, July 30th, 1984: Kodiaks-Slammers Deal: Miyamoto for Scott
The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The California Kodiaks sent 24-year old minor league left fielder Steve Boyd and 24-year old minor league starting pitcher Shunsen Miyamoto to the Syracuse Slammers for 24-year old reliever Paul Scott and a 4th round draft pick.

Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.

This year Scott has earned 3 saves, worked 35.2 innings, fanned 27 hitters, and recorded a 5.55 ERA. He has also put up a 0-2 won-lost mark.
