 | Monday, July 30th, 1984: California-Pittsburgh Trade: for Santos
The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The California Kodiaks sent a 7th round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Millers for 28-year old starting pitcher Xalbador Santos.
Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.
Santos has started 10 times this year, pitched 61.2 innings, fanned 28 batters and walked 31. His current record is 2 wins and 3 losses with a 6.13 ERA.
